This unique project is a collaboration, commissioned by Acoya Pearl, between myself and glass artist Ayato Takeda. The design draws inspiration from the Amphora, a vessel that emerged around the 15th century BC on the Syrian coast of Lebanon and spread throughout the ancient world. Some of these vessels have been excavated from shipwrecks, preserving fragments of ancient history within their contents. Our glass bottles are a fusion of this historical memory and the organic form of a shell.
